Private Residences-Wymore, NE August 2010

For our first to Wymore, NE, we had a double header. The primary client was someone we had worked with in Beatrice before they moved to Wymore.  Some of the activity was still being reported, but, obviously, new events had surfaced.

The new events were an additional unseen animal, dark orb, and a dark figure walking down the sidewalk and into our client's house and a neighbor's house. Reports were of being watched, seeing a headless figure from time to time, and a second floor taht no one in the house will stay in very long.

We split into two teams and tackled both places at the same time. We also had our first YSAI investigator on scene. He helped us tremondously in interviewing the children that were present.

W had a few personal experiences, but not an over abundance of anomalous evidence. We did ge a couple of events and I think it just adds fuel to the fire for another trip down to see if we can get more and to experience reported activity.

The Squirrel Cage Jail-Council Bluffs, IA

The Squirrel Cage Jail is the most unique place we have been to, to date. It is a rotary style jail that has three levels of cells that was initially designed to be guarded by one person. They would simply have to go to each level, insert a crank, and spin the whole cell cylinder to check all the inmates. It is, currently, one of three rotary jails still in existence.

During the tour, we got a glimpse into our nation's violent past. The last rope used to hang a person in Iowa is there, countless articles and etc. about various people and events that took place there. It was a surreal experience in the way that due to the fact that the cells do not turn anymore, we were seeing a piece of history frozen in time. This jail operated until 1969 and is littered with names of people that had served time there with all different dates either scrawled in black soot, or scratched into the walls. Another unique aspect of this jail, besides being fairly small, is the addition of a women's room for cells and a children's room. The types of experiences from the jail, range from eerie feelings to full body apparitions; so we were ready for anything. The most significant experience reported was of a former jailer named Otto; he is reported to be the full body apparition that has been seen.

The investigation went perfect. All our team members got a chance to do sweeps and we seemed to have a fair amount of personal experiences. One of our team members felt a tug on her shirt during the tour; we caught several anomalous audio pieces that we could not dismiss. The one big piece for us was a loud prompted bang on one of the interior cell walls in the upper section of the jail while one of our teams was on the first level "bullpen" area. It is an obvious hollow metal sound that thundered load enough for all of us to hear. This was also the first time we used a new piece of EVP equipment, the RT_EVP recorder, which worked great.

This place has a rich and tragic past and we would love to go back for another crack at it. I would recommend anyone to go and visit this historic place.

Our second trip to Carson, IA and The Tin Cup was a great time. We had a good set-up, tested out our wireless cameras and etc. The only issue was that the whole place felt, right away, empty. To forgive the pun, it was "totally dead". We had no hits on any of the equipment. I don't really see this as a setback. We had a chance to sit down and talk with Merle, the cook who had numerous strange experiences. Even though we didn't get anything to report, we plan on going back up to do a paranormal event in conjunction with The Tin Cup; so keep an eye open for details.

We had one piece that, at first, looked as if the camera in the basement had moved. But upon further review, it seemed to be a signal fault. As we continue to look at evidence with other investigators, we will post anything of note.

Business Office-Lincoln, NE

We investigated a professional office in Lincoln, NE. The client has full belief that there is paranormal activity on the premises. The accounts he gave to us stretch for years back and go from a simple feeling of being watched, to seeing actual apparitions immediately outside his office on the property.

The history, as it was told to us, was that the property was once a funeral home and that activity goes on throughout the building and has been experienced in the other professional spaces adjacent to the office we investigated.  Also, from the reports, the activity is localized to the original areas, not the added construction. We set up digital audio recorders for stationary recording and EVP's, a hybrid "Ghost Box", and used digital still photography.

We did not find an overwhelming amount of evidence, but we did get two pieces of audio, that did not seem to fit, during the "Ghost Box" session.

We talked to the client about the evidence and gave him a copy of the recorded evidence. We did explain that even though the audio would seem to be solid, the evidence came from an audio device designed to scan frequencies. The future may hold a re-visit, but since our client is neither in need of validation or being affected negatively, we will wait and see.

As with all evidence, it is never 100%. We consider these two audio pieces because they seem out of context to what else was captured in the raw portion of the evidence gather.

Private Residence-Beatrice, NE
November 2009

We traveled to Beatrice to investigate a private residence with reports of a host of different activity. There were reports of scratching and knocking sounds from one of the children's bedrooms when the door was shut, it would continue until they opened the door. Also, sounds in the other child's, like scratching in the closet. There was a patch in the closet where there was damage, but only superficial. When the owner continued to fix it, it came back, no signs of water leakage or other exterior home problems. Also reports of owners being scratched, burned, and pushed by unseen forces. There was also a reported event of seeing a darker shadow person in the basement and was visible by the owners. It is generally associated with remodeling of the home.

After reviewing the data collected during our investigation, it was concluded that we would schedule a second investigation. We captured an almost continuous dialog of anomalous sounds. We heard scratching and movement sounds and etc. Video did not really show anything, but the presence of a variety of sounds warrants another look by our team if nothing else but to debunk the noises.

This was a visit to a private residence in the area of Air Park. The reports we recieved were of a general feeling of a presence in one of the rooms in the house and hallway. The reports that there was an accidental death in the room, and than since then, there has been a strong feeling that someone was thee with you. We were able to get into the home on the anniversary of the incident and conducted the investigation during the reported time of the event as well.

In review of the evidence, collectively, we did not get anything solid after review. The home seemed really quiet and peaceful. The reports were not of something hostile, this investigation is not being considered a case that we will revisit as of right now.

Bar and Restaurant-Carson, IA
November 2009

We had a chance to visit the Tin Cup in Carson, IA. Kim and Dave, the owners, were great. The reports were of seeing multiple apparitions. Employees report seeing aa man and women dressed in 1800's clothing in the kitchen area. As well as another presence of a person throughout the building late at night. There are also reports of equipment going off and on throughout the day, i.e. radio turning on and off. One of the more significant sightings was with a server who seated customers and placed their utensils on the table. Upon her return, she was asked why the extra tableware. She had replied "it was for your daughter", at which point she was told, "we have no children with us". So, it that the server had seen a young girl with the couple clear enough to have mistaken her for a living person.

After reviewing the raw footage that we collected, it was decided that we would be doing another investigation at the Tin Cup. We had productive KII sessions with prompted responses and prompted noises in the area. We also had an anomalous shadow on our Night Vision camera. There were also numerous strange light anomalies on our infrared cameras.   Our repeat investigation will consist of two parts. First part will be in the day and try to capture those events, then the second will be at night to see if we can get a repeat of the evidence from the previous investigation.

Private Residence-Garland, NE

This is a home in Garland where the homeowner is constantly hearing people talking and seeing things moving in all the rooms. Also our clients sees three distinctly different people in the home and they seem to interact with both homeowners in several areas of the house. Prior to our investigation our client captured several pictures and a piece of audio which was captured.

After review of our collected audio, video, and photos, we were unable to come up with anything that could be considered paranormal. We had several hits and moving cold spots, but none of it was consistent enough to be eligible for serious paranormal consideration. We talked with our client and explained how we came to our conclusions. She is not scared about what she is feeling in her home, but curious about who it may be. We look forward to keeping up with our client and told her that we would be happy to come back for another investigaton.

This investigation was done in a private home where activity was said to be mostly auditory, murmur like speech, children talking with family members who have passed on, and etc. There were accounts of moving shadows by the living room windows that were too tall to be any person and a misty face in the corner of the living room as well.

We reviewed the audio and found a few possible EVP's, we are going back this weekend, with a smaller group, to try and get more, and clearer, audio anomalies. We had a few pictures as well, which are posted below. We tried several times to recreate the anomalies in the pictures, but were unable to. One of our goals this weekend is to get more photos like these or be able to debunk them fully.

October 5, 2009

We have reviewed the evidence from the re-investigation. The team was great and the client was very happy with our performance in their home. We caught better EVP's and they seemed to be more on cue to our questions during the EVP session. Also, we got several anomalies in a set of photos. The one picture we are posting is with the smoke-like clouding around the women (our client) was when she was telling our team that she was being touched on the back of her neck. She was also getting elevated EMF readings in that specific area.

This investigation is centered on a photograph, circa early 1900's. The client says that the enviroment in her home and more specifically, around the photograph, changes when the picture is displayed for more than a few days.

In addition to that, other pictures fall, she hears voices and muttered speech, and get that "something out out of the corner my eye" feeling.

This case will center on the theory of object attachment and we will be seeing if we get the same events while we are in possession of the photograph. We are planning to re-display the photograph in the client's home to see if we get a similar response.

This case may turn out to be a very exciting one for several reasons. Keep an eye open for more. We have added a scan of the photo we are working with.

We had had a limited, and more than likely not connected, activity happening so far. We are moving into the second phase of the investigation/experiment.

Second Review of Photo-October 5, 2009

Second phase in complete. Unfortunately, we did not come up with anything at all. We had a few instances, but nothing that I could serious, to be considered not more than coincidence. The photographs are going are going back to our client and we will move into the third phase. This is where we will have the client re-display the photographs and we will see about coming into her home for an investigation.

This investigation was done in a private home in Lincoln, NE. After a few phone calls with the client, we were told about an overly oppressive feeling in the basement. The feel that it would change the mood of certain people if they spent time in the basement.

We also were told about possible contacts in the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom.

During the client interview, the client told us that the of activity went in cycles and it was mostly based on external influences.

After the evidence review, and a meeting with the client, we did not have any substantial video or audio evidence to present. We did however, have some photos with strange anomalies (pictured below) and more traditional orb photos. One possible explanation could be pet hair, but we feel it is sufficient enough to try and schedule a second investigation and hope to set this up in the future.

This investigation was done in private home in Lincoln, NE. The reports were of the children in the home seeing shadows moving past a doorway in the basement. The owners would hear "rustling" sounds from upstairs while they were downstairs. One of the owners was having the feelings of a presence in the house, one of the children would actively talk to someone referring to a "friend" in the house.

The reports are very consistent and seem to happen on a regular basis. The encouraging thing about this case, and what we have told the clients as well, is that it seems to be a comforting experience. The "friend" has always been a good experience and doesn't seem to be a disruption to the household.

After review of the raw footage, it was determined that nothing of note was found. No images were found that couldn't be debunked, no detectable audio was discovered, and no video evidence was collected. We advised the clients that just because we didn't get anything doesn't mean that is doesn't exist. We offered to investigate again and also provide the use of a digital recorder place it in the children's room to see if they can capture an interaction with the children and their "friend".

Old Town Cemetery-San Diego, CA
December 2006

This is a picture from our first "Official" investigation. We were in California for the holidays and decided to go to a few locations that are reputed to be haunted. We went to the Davis House, which was used as a children's tuberculosis hospital. We also went to the Whaley House, which is preserved in Old Town San Diego. The picture was taken in th Old Town Cemetery just south of the Whaley House. We have tried for a long time to debunk this photo and have come up empty. It remains a mystery to us and will always be one of my favorite pictures during an investigation..
